The Michigan House of Representatives has officially passed House Bills 4346 and 4347 with strong bipartisan support, marking a significant step forward for Michigan’s horse racing industry and agricultural community.
House Bill 4346 addresses the lifted cap, while House Bill 4347 strengthens the distribution of funds to support fairs, horsemen, breeder awards and incentives, and continued investment in Michigan agriculture.
This achievement reflects the dedication and advocacy of bill sponsors, co-sponsors, and the many MHHA members who worked tirelessly to move this legislation forward.
While this is an important milestone, the process is only halfway complete. The bills now advance to the Michigan Senate for further consideration.
