Strong numbers posted at 2026 Winner’s Circle Speed Sale

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Good To Great attracted the highest bid ever in the history of the Winner’s Circle Speed Sale when Mark Gibbs paid $41,000 for her on Thursday (Oct. 8) at Michigan State University.
The Captain Victorious filly out of the Keystone Raider mare Do Me Good was one of seven yearlings from the leading LilliVin Farm consignment who sold. She is a half sister to five six-figure earners, including Shady Caroline p,4:150.2 ($402,467), Good Rockin p,1:49.4 ($349,919), and Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final champion Rockin Good p,3,1:48 ($283,564).
The highest grossing pacing colt was Luck Be With Ben, for whom John Wentworth paid $27,000 to Back Forty Farm. The son of Luck Be Withyou-Ave Ulrica is a full brother to Luckbewithalex p,4,1:49.1f ($269,454), a 24-time winner in his career while racing primarily in Indiana.
The top-selling trotter was Mackinaw Mac, a Musclesprinctonian-Stickum Vicky colt for whom Bob Tait paid $19,000 to Brett Boyd Racing. He is a full brother to 2024 Michigan Sire Stakes champion Libbys Lucky Lady 4,1:54.4f ($158,409).
LilliVin Farm was the highest grossing consignment, selling eight yearlings for an aggregate $138,250. Their average sale price of $17,281 was topped only by the one-horse Back Forty Farm consignment, who achieved a $27,000 average thanks to Luck Be With Ben.
Captain Victorious was the highest averaging stallion, with his four progeny averaging a winning bid of $24,875.
In total, 20 of the 60 yearlings who sold did so for at least $10,000. Overall gross receipts were $580,000, good for an average sale price of $9,667, a 11.8% increase from the 2025 average of $8,643.
