Michigan Sired horses nominated to the 8-event program can only start in 8 events, if a MI sired horse chooses to race in a Mixed event, the mixed event will count as 1 of the 8 starts. If a horse is scratched from an event for any reason other than race clerk entry error, the event the horse was scratched from will count towards the 8-event total.
